This project involved upgrading a legacy Microsoft Dynamics GP system from version 2010 to 2013, alongside implementing a web client solution to enhance accessibility and streamline operations. The primary challenge was to migrate over 50 users to the new system while ensuring seamless access via the web client, customized according to each user’s specific needs. The project also included providing extensive post-implementation support, addressing issues in Management Reporter reports, and enhancing the Order Processing, Inventory modules, and SSRS reports.

The Challenge

Need to transition from a third-party system to Microsoft Dynamics GP and upgrade their existing GP environment from version 2010 to 2013.
A significant aspect of this challenge was implementing the Dynamics GP web client to allow over 50 users to access the system remotely and securely through a web browser.
Customizing user access across both the Dynamics GP system and the web client was essential to ensure that each user had the appropriate permissions and functionality.
Requirement to provide ongoing support for the users, particularly in resolving issues with Management Reporter reports and needs to offer support for the Order Processing and Inventory modules, as well as SSRS reports.

- Successfully upgraded the client’s Microsoft Dynamics GP system to version 2013, implementing the Dynamics GP web client with a domain certificate to ensure a secure user authentication through the web.
- The upgrade included customizing access for over 50 users, allowing them to utilize the GP system via the web client with tailored access levels that matched their roles within the organization.
