Project Synopsis

The client required the development of a high-performance e-commerce engine for Pizza Pizza.
The platform features complex real-time product configuration (the “Pizza Assistant”),
a robust cart, and checkout system, and a comprehensive user loyalty dashboard, all built on
a reactive Angular-NgRx architecture.

The Challenge

Complexity in managing synchronized state across the cart, user sessions, and loyalty balances during high-traffic periods.
Unable to have a highly flexible pizza configurator that allows users to customize toppings, crusts, and sizes with instant price updates.
Difficulty in protecting the checkout flow against bot traffic while maintaining a low-friction experience for legitimate customers.

The Solution

Implemented NgRx to handle the global application state, ensuring a “single source of truth” for the cart and user data.
Organized the application into lazy-loaded modules (Catalog, Checkout, User, Career) to minimize the initial bundle size.

The Result

Successfully delivered a responsive, “app-like” web experience that handles complex custom orders with zero latency.
Established a maintainable codebase with centralized error handling and state monitoring via LogRocket.
